Why I came to this work.

The process of dying was something I, like most people, feared for a very long time. When my grandmother became ill in 2025, I began seeking out every resource I could find to understand what dying might look like. I wanted to be less afraid and, more importantly, to spend the time I had with her in a meaningful way.

I watched hospice educational videos, learned about the physical process of dying, listened to the experiences of people who had been there, and continued searching for resources that could help me understand what families encounter at the end of life.

Through that experience, I realized that this was work I felt called to do.

Today, I seek to support people throughout the many stages surrounding death and dying: those simply beginning to think about end-of-life planning, people facing a diagnosis, families who need additional support, people nearing death who need companionship or vigil presence, and those navigating bereavement afterward.

My hope is to make this part of life feel a little less frightening, a little less lonely, and more connected to the people and things that matter most.

Clear, straightforward support.

Frequently asked questions.

What is an end-of-life doula?

An end-of-life doula provides non-medical support to people and families before, during, and around the end of life. Support may include companionship, education, planning, practical assistance, vigil presence, caregiver support, and help creating meaningful rituals or legacy projects.

Do you replace hospice or medical care?

No. Doula care is non-medical and is intended to complement, not replace, hospice, physicians, nurses, therapists, clergy, or other licensed professionals.

Do I need to be actively dying to contact you?

Not at all. You may reach out while thinking about future planning, after receiving a diagnosis, while caring for someone else, during the final stage of life, or after a death.

What if I'm not sure whether a doula is right for me?

That is exactly what the complimentary 30-minute consultation is for. There is no obligation to continue after the conversation.

Start with a conversation.

You do not need to know exactly what kind of support you need before reaching out. We can begin by talking about what is happening, what matters to you, and whether I may be able to help.
